Pleasantview · Simming

R5.7

Welcome back to Pleasantview! Last time we were in Bluewater, playing the Jacquet, Delarosa, and Lothario houses. This is the last rotation of “founding” things, so soon all of the legacies for the main names of Pleasantview will be taking off. In this chapter of R5 we will be going to University. First, Tessa Ramirez is going to school in La Fiesta Tech with the Caliente twins. Then we have students in Sim State U. Then a few are still in Academie Le Tour.

La Fiesta Tech

Caliente-Ramirez-Townie

The Caliente Twins were packaged to college with a townie, Ivy Copur. Tessa was packaged with a townie named Sunny Gray, since I thought she was cute after seeing her around town a few times. These five students fill up the Oasis Dormitory, and are all Freshman.

Tessa Ramirez wanted to make friends with Matthew Caliente, so they sat down for a few hours while Emma got to work on assignments to get her grade higher and both the townies were really left on free will. The rather important person in this batch is Emma Caliente, heiress of the Caliente legacy. After their first class I began having the group decide majors. Emma wants to be a ballet dancer, she majored in Drama. Matthew wants to be a Hall of Famer, he majored in Drama as well. Sunny wants to be a Captain Hero, she majored in Biology. Tessa had the same LTW, so she got the same major. Ivy, a knowledge sim, just wants to max all 7 skills. College is definitely the place to do that, so she’s just here for the ride.

Matthew was having fun being on his own in a dorm full of girls, even if one was his sister. He was rather popular with the townie girls, it seemed, and even Tessa. Emma was devoted to her books; men were inconsequential and would remain so for the rest of her life. They were replaceable. After Finals, the only undecided major, Ivy, declared Mathematics. Sunny and Matthew started a budding relationship. Sunny and Tessa are quite good friends as well. Sunny might end up being a sim in a legacy family or something at this rate. Freshman year flew by, thanks to a mod that I have that makes each semester only 36 hours long. The report cards are as follows: Emma 4.0 GPA, Ivy 4.0, Matthew 4.0, Sunny 4.0, Tessa 4.0.

Into their sophomore year they went. Tessa decided to change her hair, since she’d had the same haircut since childhood. Here’s a fun fact about Tessa; she’s queer. She and Sunny don’t care too much about their grades, they’re family aspirations. For the fortune and knowledge, though, there are plenty of wants to do homework and write term papers. Emma & Matt are fortune, Ivy is knowledge. Since I try to keep the sims in sync, none of them leave the lot and I haven’t tested how the community time mod works with university yet.

Midway through their Sophomore year, Matthew fell for Sunny after their first woohoo. They became pretty close, constantly finding each other to toss flirts back and forth. The classic dorm romance that could only go down in flames or last a lifetime- time would only tell.

At the end of their two years and beginning as a Junior, most of their aspirations stayed the same. Emma’s switched from Fortune to Family. Sunny switched from Family to Popularity. Tessa switched from Family to Romance. That should shake things up.

Sim State University

Broke-Burb-Tinker-Pleasant

This household includes Beau Broke, Lucy Burb, Tyler Broke, Melody Tinker, and now Caroline and Victoria Pleasant. Beau is a pleasant sim, and a graduate who gets to linger around for another semester for kicks and giggles. Lucy Burb, as well, is a graduate. She is a family aspiration, she is engaged to Dirk Dreamer, and cannot wait for her life with him. Melody Tinker is a Junior with the Knowledge aspiration and the Physics major. Tyler is a Junior with the Family aspiration and the Psychology Major. The Pleasant twins are new freshman that have now filled up the dorm space.

When Beau had 15 hours left on campus, he decided to throw a graduation party. It would be thanks to this party that Victoria and Caroline got to meet a few new people, since I learned that the time mod doesn’t work with University- fair, because Uni time is a whole different animal, imo. Lucy and Dirk were more than happy to see each other. Shortly after that there were cram sessions and birthdays for Lucy and Beau- who went back to the real world.

Melody and Caroline became friends that had some attraction between them. Soon enough they were flirting on balconies and stealing kisses. Victoria had other plans for her college life, she wasn’t here for love or grades, she was here for a good time. That meant greek house. She called up Tri-Var and made a plea to join, and the girls decided to swing by to see if she was up to snuff. She managed to make her way in- and still a freshman too!

The school year ended. Tyler ended the year with a B+, and has a 3.9GPA and is now entering his Senior year, Melody has a 3.8GPA, ending with an A+, also entering her Senior year. The new Sophomore, Caroline ended the year with an A+ and thus a 4.0, Victoria ended the year with a B+ and thus a 3.8.

Now that she was in a sorority, Victoria was on the phone to her sisters a lot. When she wasn’t on the phone, Tyler was on the phone with Sophie Burb, who is attending college at Academie Le Tour. However, Sophie was very far away, and Victoria was quite close. Very rapidly did Tyler want more than just an affair with Victoria, however. That would have to be dealt with later, as the end of his college career was approaching. I decided instead of letting these two putter around for a semester of fun next rotation to just use the phone to send them back to the main hood directly after their graduation. Tyler finished school with a B+, graduating Cum Laude, with a 3.8GPA. Melody ended school with an A+, a 3.9 GPA, and graduated Magna Cum Laude- which made her very happy.

This left just the Pleasant twins in the dorm, who were embarking upon their Junior year. Neither of them changed aspirations at this time.

Academie Le Tour

Lothario-Oldie-Burb-Binnie

This household has six sims. Those in their Junior year: Samantha Lothario, Lothario heiress, a Family sim and Philosophy major. James Oldie, Popularity sim, Mathematices Major. Sorren Oldie, the heir to the Oldie Legacy, a Physics major. Sophie Burb, the girlfriend of Tyler Broke, a Fortune sim, and Drama major. Then, last but not least, Stella Terrano, a Knowledge sim and Physics Major. The sixth sim is Marla Biggs, also a Knowledge sim, though a Biology major. The last two were found in the SimBin.

Because this group is mostly studious, there isn’t much to take photos of, they read and skill, and that’s pretty much it. But it makes them happy and that was enough for the Gypsy. They don’t really acknowledge it.

Late in the year, when James was still a Junior that is, he decided to try and go for a greek house- embrace the new popularity aspiration he now has. The boys from UOC showed up and James did his best. He managed to get in, so he could go into his Senior year as a frat boy. The year ended otherwise unremarkable.

After playing so much Uni, the ALT kids mostly get put on freewill and I crochet. I’m trying to find something for them to do though, especially since it’s mostly their senior year. Unlike some Fortune sims, Sophie doesn’t really care for her grades. She tends to influence other people to deal with that for her.

After their midterms James threw a party. It could have been a toga party had he been living at the frat house, but alas, there wasn’t much reason to move him over in his very last year of university. Per her MO, Sophie convinced someone else to write her term paper to boost her grade. By the end of the party she had a solid B. Samantha and Ashley advanced their relationship, which I either forgot they had or they developed behind my back. Since I don’t want Samantha to leave University and then yank Ashley out with marriage, he will have to be played out since he’s in a household. If I weren’t adverse to going ‘backwards’ through the colleges, I would play his frat in this chapter, but I guess that’s something to look forward to in R6.

To help stagger things a little bit, I directed all the Seniors to the library. This way I could send them home before Marla’s exam was finished, add sims into the household after her exam with the empty space, and everything’s flowing magnificently. Anyway, the library got lit. Sophie was freestyling, James wrote his term paper, and Samantha lived up to the Lothario family name and was making out and all over this ginger named Gavin. They presumably just met this outing, because they aren’t friends, they’ve just got the hots for each other.

They came home at the five hour warning after Sophie made §300 in tips. After that was the final, and came deciding which of the Seniors would be kept on campus until R6 in order to further stagger the move in rate to Pleasantview. The Legacy sims would be leaving leaving, and which would be temporarily in the bin, which gave Samantha Lothario and Sorren Oldie passes off the campus, as well as Sophie Burb thanks to her romance with Tyler Broke. This left Stella Terrano, a Binnie, and spare James Oldie to hang out for another rotation in the bin. Marla would not be alone for very long, however.
James Oldie, going to the bin, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.9GPA.
Samantha Lothario, you’ll see next rotation, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.9GPA.
Sorren Oldie, who will also be around next rotation, graduated Summa Cum Laude and a perfect 4.0GPA.
Sophie Burb, to be seen next rotation, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.9.
Stella Terrano, who will be back in the bin, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0.
A few more binnies were dumped into the dorm with Marla, who is doing very well in her grades.
