Pleasantview · Simming

R6.1

Welcome back! It felt like last rotation took ages, but this rotation might feel longer with how I plan on breaking off the legacy houses- chapter wise. The snow has melted and several Pleasantview legacies are beginning to bud. In this chapter we will be rearranging the rotation just slightly. I will be starting with some households that aren’t Main Legacy households or still have some time to go. I decided to just outright shuffle the order, how exciting! Now to get this done in a decent time I am going to have to either lessen the amount of households per chapter (thus allowing me to focus on quality), or just jam everything into one chapter and sacrificing quality. I’m going to go with the first option for now and see how that works out. !Fun fact: On average, we add 15 new sims per rotation by either birth, marriage, or binnies, so I wonder who we will meet in this rotation!

Dreamer

I was originally planning on the two Dreamers retiring to Sydney Dawn Island, but I can’t imagine Darren leaving the home he’s known for so long. His rotation opens with him wishing for a longer life from the genie, since he wanted to make a wish, and I’m not sure he’ll see his grandchildren born otherwise.

On Monday morning Brittney invited over Kari, and they found themselves upstairs in the only double bed. This made it a little obvious that Brittney needed her own, adult, space. She was given her own bedroom with a double bed and her own paint. Kari spent the night that night. Both Darren and Brandi are in their 70s and Darren desperately wants to see one of his children get married. It may come down to Brittney to give him that dream before he dies.

On Thursday Brittney went to find a nice lady at the gypsy’s house. Katrina was there and they had sparks- immediately ACR-ing upstairs. When she got home she still had wants for Kari, though, so I don’t suppose she’ll be finding a good playable girl. She went home, and after everyone was in bed, Brandi was heading that way and instead died. Naturally, there was no camera zoom so I missed it and only realized after seeing the headstone memory pop over Brittney, who I was watching sleep.

Darren was not alright after loosing another wife; he had hoped he would go first and not be left alone. Luckily, he wasn’t alone, he had Brittney. Despite the small trist with Katrina Lothario, it seemed there wouldn’t be anyone else for Brittney other than Kari. With Darren so incredibly depressed there appeared only one solution to Brittney; pick things back up with a wedding. That was the plan for Friday; make Darren as happy as possible including with a wedding. Brittney invited Kari over in the morning and Darren kept finding himself staring at Brandi’s portrait. Brittney didn’t waste any time once Kari arrived, dropping to one knee on the porch. They were married very shortly after that and Darren was feeling much better with some hope on the horizon.

Upon moving in it was revealed that Kari still had the childhood ‘Grow Up’ Aspiration, so I used the ReNuYuSenso Orb to reprogram her twice, rolling randomly she got the Knowledge aspiration. It was also revealed that she was at the top of the medical career. They then embarked on an island honeymoon.

The two women were very much in love, and loved doing things together, but were also quite independent. They did find each other for tours, and other events. They probably wouldn’t have gotten married if not for Darren’s slight urging and then plummeting depression. Their vacation was pretty rad, they spent an entire day on the boardwalk mingling with the locals, and now Kari won’t stop hanging loose everywhere she goes. Brittney can now fire dance. When they came home the next day, Darren got to reveal what he had been working on while they had been away; Brittney’s portrait. He also now had a desire for a new animal, and Brittney decided on a new kitten. He was named Bender, short for Bender Bending Rodriguez.

Brittney sent out an invitation ecard to get her closest friends over in order to announce her marriage to Kari. The get-together was nice and quiet. The newlyweds went to bed; Darren found it hard to sleep in the bed he had once shared with his wife, so he slept downstairs in the recliner. The next day Brittney caught up on cleaning, Kari went jogging then laid down for a nap. Brittney was cleaning upstairs when her father was escorted away by the reaper. That night at dinner, Kari suggested moving to a new home. Brittney wasn’t too keen on the idea.

Burb

Similar to the Dreamers, this household starts out with a nearly grown child living with their elder parents. I think we can expect John and Jennifer to survive the rotation though, they’re only in their 60s. This is the last rotation in which Peter can move off to college. So far, all Burb children had attended school. Sunday afternoon Peter went out for new clothes and met Skylar Lothario. He has no current love interest to speak of, but he has a good job. He saw Sarah Ramirez downtown as well, who he is friends with.

Monday starts the typical week for the Burbs. Peter is still a teen, a lot of his time is taken up with school and his part time job in the Military. He’s working toward several scholarships and already has three. Jennifer and John still have a tense relationship. He has his suspicions that she’s had affairs, but she’s never been caught so he can’t prove it. To occupy their golden years, John adopted a puppy named Snow.

On Tuesday, Peter brought home a friend and had a bit of fun before he set into his other responsibilities. John tended the harvest, but the next crop cannot be planted on the same day as a harvest, so he got a nice evening off from his garden. Wednesday evening Peter had two choices, and he chose to pay the tuition fees and line up to begin attending SSU. When he left John was just entering his 70s as well.

Thursday their puppy, Snow, grew up into a big dog. Jen finally reached the top of the dance career, then promptly retired. John took himself and Snow down to Peerless Park on Saturday. Not only did it begin to rain, but John was chased by bees. After that, though, the rain cleared up and it was a lovely time.
